1.What are the steps for the legalization process, and how many days does it take?

Answer:
The legalization process of documents issued by the Chinese authority are as follows:

1. Bring the original documents to be notarized at the Notary Public in the province or city where the applicant resides.

2. After the notarization has been completed, the documents have to be legalized at the Foreign Affairs Office in the same province or city.

3. Once the legalization has been completed, the applicant must scan all pages of the legalized documents and submit them to the email: [email protected] so that officers can check the documents and schedule an appointment for the legalization process at the earliest opportunity. You can collect your documents 5 working days after submitting the physical documents at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu, or on other specific dates given by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu.

1.  办理认证所需时长是多少？

回答：中国境内签发的文件认证流程如下：

1. 公证处公证​：申请人须在居住地省/市的公证处对原始文件进行公证。
2. ​外事办公室认证​：公证完成后，需在同一省/市的外事办公室办理认证。
3. 领事认证审核及预约​：

• 将已认证文件全部页面扫描后发送至邮箱：[email protected]；
• 泰国驻成都总领事馆工作人员将审核文件并尽快安排办理时间。

     4. ​领取时间​：

• 在总领事馆现场提交纸质文件后，通常需 5个工作日完成认证；
• 或按总领事馆指定的其他日期领取。

2. If I am unable to collect the document on the scheduled date, can I collect it on another day?

Answer: Yes, the applicant may collect the document after the scheduled date. However, please make an appointment with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in advance.

回答：是的，申请人可以在原定日期之后领取文件，但需提前与泰国驻成都总领事馆确认。

3. How long is a legalized document valid for?

Answer: The validity period of a legalized document depends on whether the original document has an expiration date. For example, a legalized copy of the driver’s license will only be valid for the same duration as the license itself.

3.  经认证的文件有效期是多久？

 回答：经认证文件的有效期取决于原始文件是否标注有效期。例如，经认证的驾驶执照有效期与驾照原件的有效期一致。

4. Is there an expedited (urgent) legalization service?

Answer: Currently, there is no expedited legalization service, except in cases with humanitarian reasons, which will be considered by the Royal Thai Consulate-General on a case-by-case basis.

4. 是否提供加急认证服务？

回答：目前暂不提供加急认证服务，但基于人道主义，泰国驻成都总领事馆将根据视具体情况进行审批。
