1. What is the difference between an ED visa and an ED PLUS visa?

Answer: The ED visa is for any studies outside of universities, a training, a curricular internship, an exchange program, or any studies in a university that will not issue a Thai degree upon completion of your studies. As for the ED Plus visa, it is for studies at a university level, which will issue a Thai degree upon completion of your studies.

回答：ED签证适用于大学以外的任何学习、培训、课程实习、交流项目，或是在大学学习但最终不授予泰国学位的情况；而ED Plus签证则适用于大学层次的学习，并在完成学业后授予泰国学位。

2. Must the financial evidence be in the applicant’s own name only?

Answer: If the applicant uses a bank statement in the name of their father, mother, or guardian for the visa application, a legalized document of the proof of relationship must be submitted in addition to the financial evidence.

2. 资金证明必须为申请人本人名下吗？

回答：如果申请人使用父亲、母亲或监护人名下的银行账单作为资金证明，除资金证明外还需额外提交经双认证的亲属关系证明。

3. If my visa has not been approved but my semester has started, can I enter Thailand under the visa-free scheme first?

Answer: No, entering Thailand under the visa-free scheme is valid only for tourism or short-term business purposes.

3. 如果签证尚未获批但学期已开始，我能否先以免签计划入境泰国？

回答：不可以。泰国免签计划仅适用于旅游或短期商务目的。

4. Can family members apply for dependent visas together with the applicant applying for an ED visa?

Answer: Yes, family members may apply for dependent visas at the same time.

4. 家属是否可与ED签证申请人共同申请依亲签证？

回答：可以，家属可与主申请人同时申请依亲签证。

5. If the father and mother (or guardian) apply for dependent visas at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu, but the child’s passport was not issued in Sichuan or Chongqing, can they still apply together at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu?

Answer: No, applicants must apply at the location where the passport was issued
(place of issue).

5. 若父母（或监护人）在泰国驻成都总领事馆申请依亲签证，但子女的护照非由四川或重庆签发，是否仍可在该馆共同提交申请？

回答：不可以。申请人必须根据护照签发地向对应领区的泰国使领馆提交签证申请。

6. When applying for a student visa, is it necessary for the applicant to submit a certificate of criminal record and the proof of his or her highest education?

Answer: It is not generally required, except in cases where the Consulate-General deems it necessary. In such cases, applicants will be notified to provide additional documents after the preliminary document review.

6. 申请学生签证时，申请人是否需要提交无犯罪记录证明及最高学历证明？

回答：通常情况下无需提交，但总领事馆在特殊情况下可能要求补充提供。如果需此类材料，申请人将在初步文件审核后接到通知。
